Foreplay remains hot property

Foreplay has confirmed his place as one of Australia's best young stallions. At the end of last season, Foreplay had 47.1% winners/runners placing him third on the list behind second-season stallions Jet Spur's 49.3% and Snitzel's 48.6%, but ahead of Stratum (40.1%), Starcraft (28%) and Domesday (37.5%). All these stallions command a significant higher fee than Foreplay's 2011 fee of $11,000 (inc. GST).

La Rocket to miss Australian Cup

Wadham Park’s headline horse La Rocket has gone sore.

The gelding, fresh from his win in the Group 2 St. George Stakes (wfa 1800m) at Caulfield on February 20, pulled up sore in the off-hind leg after trackwork on Tuesday.

Trainer Dale Sutton had no option to withdrawn the La Rocket from Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Cup (wfa 2000m) at Flemington.

Sutton is waiting for results of veterinary tests to determine the racing future of La Rocket, a 5YO gelding, who has won six of his 28 starts and $432,000 in stakes.
