Double at Bendigo … and more
Apr 13 2010
Wadham Park produced a winning double at Bendigo on March 27 – trainer Dale Sutton (pictured) took two horses to the meeting for a 100 per cent result.
The speedy Still Dirrty followed up her good Cranbourne trial win on March 15 by winning the 1000m maiden, after showing her usual speed. She was ridden by Craig Robertson
Sophia Town, with stable jockey Stephen Baster in the saddle, followed up two races later with a narrow, but impressive, debut win in a 1300m maiden.
Four days later, the 4YO Secret Savings mare Stack Em made her long-awaited debut to win a 1000m fillies and mares maiden at Ballarat.
The Wadham Park team rounded off a big week with State Of Affairs finishing strongly to win a 1200m 0-62 event at Seymour on April 1.
Dale Sutton has now trained 44 winners for the season, which places him 12th on the Victorian Trainers’ Premiership list.
